Pet Enhancement Guide

What Enhancement Does

Enhancement raises your pet's level, increasing its base damage and total Power contribution. Each Enhancement level consumes Dragon Scales — the more you enhance, the more scales each level requires.

Dragon Scales Farming Guide

How to Enhance

Talk to NPC Ali and open the Enhance tab. Select the pet you want to upgrade. The menu shows the current level, next-level stats, and the Dragon Scales cost. Confirm to apply materials and raise the level.

Dragon Scales Farming

Dragon Scales are the primary Enhancement material. They drop from the Abandoned Courtyard dungeon — a cave dungeon that follows a wave-clear format. Each full clear rewards a batch of scales. Higher difficulty runs yield more scales per clear. The Abandoned Courtyard is also known as the best Dragon Scales farm available.

Abandoned Courtyard Guide

Enhancement Tips

Focus your scales on one main pet first. Spreading Enhancement across multiple pets dilutes your Power gain. A single heavily-enhanced pet contributes more than several under-leveled ones. Save your scales for pets that will stay in your active team long-term. Divine Dragonet benefits the most from Enhancement due to its higher base stats.

Power Contribution

A freshly obtained Baby Dragon contributes approximately 120 Power. After a few Enhancement levels, that can exceed 200 Power — a noticeable boost to your dungeon farming efficiency and boss clear speed.

Pet Ascension Guide

What Ascension Does

Ascension raises the rarity tier of your pet, unlocking higher base stats, new visual appearances, and additional abilities. It is the most impactful way to scale your pet into the late game.

How Ascension Works

Ascension requires duplicate copies of the same pet. Each Ascension tier consumes one or more duplicate pets to upgrade the base pet to the next rarity level. The exact number of copies per tier depends on the pet species and current rarity.

Reroll Guide

The Duplicate Problem

Before the Pet System Expansion Part II, the main challenge with Ascension was duplicating pets — the only sources were Battle Pass and limited events, making it very hard to collect enough copies. The Dispatch and Hatchery systems from Part II are designed to address this by providing a steady way to obtain more eggs and pets.

Ascension Priority

If you have multiple copies of the same pet, Ascend the one you use in combat. Your main pet benefits most from the increased stats. Do not Ascend a pet you plan to replace soon — save copies for a long-term carry pet like Divine Dragonet if you manage to obtain it.

Pet Dispatch & Hatchery (Part II)

Pet Dispatch

Pet Dispatch lets you send your owned pets on missions to find items and eggs. Each pet has an Affinity level — the higher the Affinity, the better the chance of finding rare items and eggs during dispatches. This system provides a passive way to earn pet-related resources without active dungeon farming.

Pet Hatchery

Eggs obtained from Dispatch missions can be hatched at the Hatchery to receive new pets. The rarity of the egg influences the rarity of the hatched pet. This system significantly expands the pet acquisition pipeline, solving the bottleneck that previously limited Ascension progress.

Dispatch Strategy

Send pets with high Affinity on longer dispatch missions for the best chance at rare eggs. Use lower-Affinity pets on shorter missions for consistent material income. Rotate pets to build Affinity across your collection.

Hatchery Tips

Save higher-rarity eggs for when you have the resources to invest in the resulting pet. A hatched pet still needs Enhancement and Ascension to reach its full potential. Prioritise hatching eggs that can produce pets you are missing in your collection.

Pet Tier List (Based on Current Data)

S-Tier — Divine Dragonet

The only confirmed Legendary pet with the highest known Power ceiling. If you can obtain it from the Wheel of Luck, invest all your Dragon Scales and duplicates into this pet. It out-scales everything else currently available.

A-Tier — Baby Dragon

Solid early-to-mid-game pet available through the Season 1 Battle Pass. Decent base Power and Enhancement scaling. Use it as your main pet until you obtain a higher-rarity option.

B-Tier — Icy Dragonet

Data is still incomplete, but early reports suggest ice-element utility. Not recommended as a primary investment target until more information is confirmed.

Pet Power Farming Tips

Daily Routine

Run Abandoned Courtyard at least once per session for Dragon Scales. Even one clear provides enough materials for early Enhancement levels. Combine with daily quests for bonus Cave Tickets to also farm gems for weapon upgrades.

Daily Tips

Battle Pass Priority

If you purchased the Season 1 Battle Pass, push to Level 3 as soon as possible to unlock the Baby Dragon. Early pet access accelerates your Power growth in the early game.

Wheel of Luck Strategy

Spin the Wheel of Luck whenever you have free spins available. The 0.5% Divine Dragonet drop rate is low but worth the attempt — there are no other ways to obtain the best pet in the game currently.

Future-Proof Your Pets

The developers have confirmed plans for pet leveling and pet merging systems in future updates. Keep duplicates of rare pets instead of discarding them — they may become useful for merging.

Dispatch & Hatchery Tips

Prioritise Affinity

A pet with high Affinity is significantly more valuable for Dispatch than one with none. Run shorter dispatches first to build Affinity, then switch to longer missions for better egg quality.

Egg Investment

Not all eggs are worth hatching immediately. Check if the egg's potential pet fills a gap in your collection. If you already have a strong carry pet, consider saving high-rarity eggs for when new pet types are added.

Dispatch Rotation

Rotate your pets through Dispatch missions to build Affinity evenly. A balanced collection with moderate Affinity across multiple pets is more flexible than one hyper-leveled pet and several untouched ones.

FAQ

How do pets work in Iron Soul Dungeon?

Pets are companions that contribute Power, deal damage in battle, and can be enhanced or ascended through NPC Ali. They are obtained through the Season 1 Battle Pass, Wheel of Luck, and the new Dispatch & Hatchery system from Pet System Expansion Part II.

How do I get a pet in Iron Soul Dungeon?

Get Baby Dragon from the Season 1 Battle Pass (Level 3). Spin the Wheel of Luck for a 0.5% chance at Divine Dragonet. Use the new Dispatch system to find eggs, then hatch them at the Hatchery for more pet options.

What does Pet Enhancement do?

Enhancement raises your pet's level using Dragon Scales, increasing its damage and total Power contribution. Each level consumes more scales. Visit NPC Ali's Enhance tab to upgrade your pet.

Where do I farm Dragon Scales?

Dragon Scales drop from the Abandoned Courtyard dungeon — a wave-clear cave dungeon. Run it at the highest difficulty you can handle for the best scale yield per clear.

What is Pet Ascension?

Ascension increases a pet's rarity tier, unlocking higher base stats, new visuals, and new abilities. It requires duplicate copies of the same pet to upgrade. Access it through NPC Ali's Ascend tab.

What is the best pet in Iron Soul Dungeon?

Divine Dragonet (Legendary) is the best known pet, obtainable from the Wheel of Luck at ~0.5% drop rate. Baby Dragon from the Battle Pass is the best option for early and mid-game players.

Can I get pets without spending Robux?

Yes. The Season 1 Battle Pass can include free tiers, and the Dispatch & Hatchery system (from Part II) allows you to earn eggs and pets through gameplay. Wheel of Luck spins are also available without Robux.

What is Pet Dispatch in Iron Soul Dungeon?

Pet Dispatch is a Part II system that lets you send owned pets on missions to find items and eggs. Higher Affinity increases the chance of rare finds. Eggs can then be hatched at the Hatchery.

What is the Pet Hatchery?

The Hatchery is where you hatch eggs obtained from Dispatch missions. Egg rarity influences the hatched pet's quality, providing a new way to grow your pet collection beyond limited-time events.

How much Power does a pet add?

A fresh Baby Dragon adds ~120 Power. With several Enhancement levels, it can exceed 200 Power. Divine Dragonet starts much higher (~820 Power at base). Pet Power contributes directly to your total character Power.

Should I enhance or ascend first?

Enhance first — it gives immediate Power gains and uses Dragon Scales (which are easier to farm). Ascension is better once you have duplicate copies of a pet you plan to use long-term.

Will more pets be added in future updates?

Yes. The developers have confirmed plans for additional pet acquisition methods, new pet species, and systems like pet leveling and pet merging.
