Recommended Route

Sprinklers are one of the most important tools in Grow a Garden 2 for anyone serious about making Sheckles fast. Unlike the original game where sprinklers were permanent fixtures, GaG 2 sprinklers are timed consumables you buy from the Gears Shop. Each sprinkler temporarily boosts your plants' growth speed, fruit size, and sometimes mutation chances — meaning bigger fruits that sell for much more. The Gears Shop, run by the NPC Eloise, rotates its stock every 5 minutes, so higher-tier sprinklers won't always be available. This guide breaks down every sprinkler type, what it costs, how long it lasts, and which ones you should prioritise.

All Sprinklers in Grow a Garden 2

There are currently 5 known sprinkler types available in the Gears Shop. Each has a different tier, price, duration, and effect strength. Higher-tier sprinklers appear less often in the shop rotation, so grab them when you see them.

Sprinkler: Common Sprinkler

Tier: Basic

Price: 2,000

Duration: 1 min

Effects: Speeds up growth, increases fruit size

Sprinkler: Uncommon Sprinkler

Tier: Uncommon

Price: 10,000

Duration: 2 min

Effects: Growth boost, larger fruits, mutation chance up

Sprinkler: Rare Sprinkler

Tier: Rare

Price: 80,000

Duration: 2 min

Effects: Strong growth & size boost, mutation chance up

Sprinkler: Legendary Sprinkler

Tier: Legendary

Price: 1,200,000

Duration: ~10 min

Effects: Major growth & size boost, mutation chance up

Sprinkler: Super Sprinkler

Tier: Mythical

Price: TBA

Duration: ~15 min

Effects: Maximum growth & size boost, mutation chance up

Legendary and Super sprinklers have significantly longer durations than lower tiers, making them far better value per Sheckel. Their prices and exact durations may be adjusted as the game receives updates — check the Gears Shop regularly. Super Sprinklers are the rarest and may not appear in every shop rotation.

Best Sprinklers to Buy

Not all sprinklers give the same value for their price. Here is how they stack up from best to least priority:
The Super Sprinkler has the longest duration at roughly 15 minutes. It provides the strongest growth and size boost, giving enough time for multiple harvest cycles. If you see one in the Gears Shop and can afford it, buy it immediately — it is the single best investment you can make for your farm.
With around 10 minutes of boost time, the Legendary Sprinkler is an excellent fallback when the Super isn't available. It is 1.2M Sheckles, which is steep but well worth it for the duration and effect strength. You can easily run two harvest cycles within its active window.
At 80K Sheckles for 2 minutes, the Rare Sprinkler is the best budget option. It appears more frequently in the shop rotation than Legendary or Super, making it a reliable mid-game workhorse. Buy several and use them back-to-back for extended boost windows.
A decent early-game option at 10K Sheckles for 2 minutes. Buy one or two if you are still building your starter funds, but upgrade to Rare as soon as you can.
At only 2K Sheckles for 1 minute, the Common Sprinkler is the cheapest booster available. Useful for testing the mechanic or giving a quick size boost to a single batch, but the short duration makes it inefficient for serious farming.

How to Use Sprinklers

Using sprinklers is straightforward, but there is a right way to do it for maximum effect:
Walk to the green-and-white striped market stall opposite the Seed Shop. Talk to Eloise, the Gear Merchant NPC, and browse her stock. The shop rotates every 5 minutes, so check back often for higher-tier sprinklers.
Approach the crops you want to boost and use the sprinkler from your inventory. It will activate immediately and apply its effects to nearby plants. A visual indicator will show the active area.
Once active, the sprinkler speeds up growth and increases fruit size. Crops in the affected area will grow faster and yield larger — and therefore more valuable — fruit when harvested.
Each sprinkler has a limited duration (1–15 minutes depending on type). Make sure you harvest before the timer expires to get the boosted fruits. For longer-duration sprinklers like Legendary and Super, you can get multiple harvest cycles.

The Sprinkler Method – Combine Types for Stacking Effects

Sprinklers of the same type do not stack — placing two Common Sprinklers on the same crop gives no extra benefit. However, sprinklers of different types DO stack their effects. This means you can place one Common, one Uncommon, one Rare, and one Legendary sprinkler near the same plant and get all of their boosts simultaneously.
To get the most out of your sprinklers: (1) Harvest all existing fruit from your target crop first. (2) Place one sprinkler of each type you own near the same plant. (3) Let the combined boosts grow the next batch into oversized, high-value fruit. (4) Wait 1–2 hours if possible — longer AFK time allows the stacked buffs to produce truly massive crops.
Focus the sprinkler method on your highest-value multi-harvest crops — Pomegranate, Poison Apple, Cherry, and Dragon Fruit are excellent candidates. These crops produce many fruits over time, and the stacked sprinkler buffs make each individual fruit significantly larger and more valuable.

Tips & Strategy

Stick to Common or Uncommon sprinklers until you have a steady income from multi-harvest crops like Strawberry and Tomato. Save your Sheckles for Rare+ sprinklers once you start planting Corn and above.
Once you have 100K+ liquid Sheckles, start buying Rare sprinklers regularly. Use the sprinkler method on your best multi-harvest crops to multiply your income. Keep checking the Gears Shop for Legendary sprinkler spawns.
Legendary and Super sprinklers are your endgame goals. Stack them on top-tier crops like Pomegranate, Poison Apple, and Cherry. Pair sprinklers with mutation-boosting strategies (Gold, Rainbow, Starstruck) for insane per-fruit sell prices.
The sprinkler method is especially powerful for AFK farming. Activate your sprinklers, harvest once, then leave the game for an hour or two. When you return, your stacked sprinklers will have produced oversized fruit worth significantly more than normal.

FAQ

How do sprinklers work in Grow a Garden 2?

Sprinklers are timed consumables you buy from the Gears Shop. When activated near your crops, they temporarily boost growth speed, fruit size, and mutation chances. Each sprinkler type has a different duration and effect strength.

How many sprinklers are in Grow a Garden 2?

There are 5 sprinkler types at launch: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, and Super. All are available from the Gears Shop, which rotates stock every 5 minutes.

Do sprinklers stack in Grow a Garden 2?

Same-type sprinklers do not stack, but different types do. Placing one Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Legendary sprinkler near the same plant gives you all their combined effects.

How do I get sprinklers in Grow a Garden 2?

All sprinklers are bought from the Gears Shop (Eloise NPC), located opposite the Seed Shop. The shop stock refreshes every 5 minutes, so check back regularly for higher-tier sprinklers.

How much does each sprinkler cost?

Common: 2K, Uncommon: 10K, Rare: 80K, Legendary: 1.2M Sheckles. The Super Sprinkler price is TBA — it is the rarest and most expensive.

Are sprinklers worth buying for beginners?

Start with Common or Uncommon sprinklers once you have steady income from multi-harvest crops. Prioritise Rare+ sprinklers as your farm grows — the longer durations and stronger effects make them much more efficient.

Can sprinklers trigger mutations?

Yes. Higher-tier sprinklers (Uncommon and above) increase mutation chances while active. Combine sprinklers with natural mutation triggers like events for the best results.
