Weapons are your primary source of damage in Broken Blade. Unlike games where weapons drop directly from enemies, Broken Blade uses a repair-and-craft system: you find the broken version of a weapon, gather its required materials, and repair it at a forge. Once crafted, you can further upgrade weapons through the Forge Master on Muspelheim and the Soul Forge on Jotunheim. There are currently 8 weapons across Sword, Katana, and Buster categories, ranging from 2-Star starter tools to 4-Star endgame goals like Excalibur, Moon Cut, and Dragon Slayer.
Each weapon type has different strengths and synergies with Races, Elements, and Blessings. Pick the type that matches your playstyle.
Best For: New players, safe progression, balanced damage
Why It Works: Swords have the most beginner-friendly path starting with Wind Fang on Origin Island. The route scales cleanly to Excalibur (the strongest Sword). Elf + Fire + Tyr is the standard synergy.
When To Skip: You want faster attack speed (Katana) or heavier burst damage (Buster).
Pick This If: Pick Sword if you want the safest early route and a clear endgame target.
Best For: Fast clearing, attack-speed builds, farming efficiency
Why It Works: Katana weapons favour fast-hit gameplay. Vanir + Wind + Loki or Frigg creates the best speed-farming setup. Moon Cut (4-Star) is the endgame Katana goal.

Every weapon in Broken Blade starts in a broken state. You find it somewhere in the game world — usually on a specific island. For example, Wind Fang is found on Origin Island, while Dragon Slayer requires Eclipse Island.
Each broken weapon needs a specific set of materials: Money, Gems, weapon-type Pieces (Sword/Katana/Buster Pieces I-III), and Fire Seed. Higher rarity weapons also need special materials like Holy Grail, Moon Piece, or Sacrifice Piece.
Once you have all materials, use the forge interface to repair your weapon. You can also apply Element Materials during forging — each element adds different stats like bonus damage, crit chance, crit damage, health, or lifesteal.
After forging, your weapon is usable. But the real power comes from upgrading — both through the Forge Master NPC and the Soul Forge system.
Located on Muspelheim Island inside a small volcano behind the Ragaros boss. The Forge Master lets you upgrade the Element Materials used during forging. Each upgrade level requires additional elemental materials. This directly increases your weapon’s damage output.
Found on the second level of the central tower on Jotunheim Island. The Soul Forge uses Soul Stones obtained from the Sky Spire challenge. This is a separate upgrade path that further boosts weapon power alongside the Forge Master upgrades.
Start with Wind Fang (2-Star) on Origin Island for cheap entry. Upgrade to Night Whisper (3-Star) on Muspelheim once you have 100+ Fire Seed saved. Push toward Excalibur (4-Star) on Jotunheim as your endgame Sword goal — it requires 3 billion Money and 100 Holy Grail.
Stone Cleaver (2-Star) on Origin Island is your Katana entry. Light Scar (3-Star) on Niflheim is the practical mid-game floor before Jotunheim content. Moon Cut (4-Star) on Nidavellir is the endgame target — farm 100 Moon Pieces alongside standard materials.
Soul Devourer (3-Star) on Niflheim is expensive (300 of each Buster Piece) but necessary. Dragon Slayer (4-Star) on Eclipse Island is the most documented endgame route. Requires Sacrifice Pieces from boss farming. Pair with Nether race and Thunder element for maximum burst.
