Elements in Broken Blade are passive stat-boosting traits similar to Races and Blessings. Unlike Races, Elements can stack — each time you reroll, you add a new element to your collection instead of replacing the old one. With up to 6 slots, choosing which elements to keep and which to keep rolling for is a key part of mid-to-lategame progression. This page tracks all 6 elements, their documented effects, tier rankings, and practical farming advice for Element Rerolls.

Best Use: Early survivability
Effects: +10% Damage Reduction
When To Reroll: When you have enough survivability and want damage or speed instead
Keep / Reroll Plan: Filler element. Keep only while you are just starting to collect elements.
Best Use: Energy sustain builds
Effects: +1.0 Energy Recovery per Second
When To Reroll: When energy sustain is not your bottleneck and you need offensive stats
Keep / Reroll Plan: Situational. Useful if energy management matters for your build.
Best Use: Sustain and bossing
Effects: +3% Life Steal
When To Reroll: When you have reliable healing sources and want more damage
Keep / Reroll Plan: Keeps you alive during long boss fights. Replace when damage becomes your bottleneck.
Best Use: Attack speed builds
Effects: +15% Attack Speed
When To Reroll: When your build does not benefit from attack speed (e.g., burst builds)

When To Reroll: Almost never. This is the top priority element for any build.

S Tier
The best element overall. +50% Damage works with every build, every weapon type, and every content type.
A Tier
Excellent secondary element. +50% Crit Damage is extremely strong when paired with a decent crit rate.
B Tier
Solid support element. +15% Attack Speed shines with fast weapons like Katana.
C Tier
Situational filler elements. Useful for specific needs but outclassed by offensive options.
Each equipped element gives your character a passive stat boost. Unlike Races, elements stack — you can equip multiple elements at once. Rolling for a new element adds it to your collection instead of replacing an existing one.
You cannot reroll elements before reaching Level 500. Once you hit that threshold, you can use Element Reroll items to roll for a random element. Each successful roll adds the element to your available slots.
The fastest way to get Element Rerolls is farming the Velik Boss, which has an 84.75% drop chance. Ragaros is the second-best option at 79.42%. Other bosses like Moraros (67.43%) and Magador (71.43%) also drop rerolls but at lower rates.
View bosses guideThere is one element per rarity tier: Common (Earth), Uncommon (Water), Rare (Life), Epic (Wind), Legendary (Fire), and Mythical (Thunder). Higher rarity does not always mean better for your specific build — a well-matched support element can outperform a high-rarity one in some scenarios.
This is the key difference between Elements and Races. When you reroll your race, the old one is replaced. When you reroll your element, the new one is added alongside your existing ones. This makes element collection much more forgiving — you don't lose progress when chasing better rolls.
Gamezebo recommends configuring your auto-stop at Legendary rarity for a stack of 5 elements, or Mythical if you want all 6. This is practical advice: Fire (Legendary) is the single most impactful element, and Thunder (Mythical) is a strong bonus. Stopping at Legendary means you keep Fire and don't waste rerolls chasing the perfect 6-slot loadout.

Thunder is the second priority — its +50% Crit Damage requires decent crit rate to be effective. Wind, Life, Earth, and Water fill out the remaining slots in that order.
Earth (+10% Damage Reduction) and Life (+3% Life Steal) can make a meaningful difference during early progression. Keep them until you have enough Element Rerolls to reliably farm for Fire and Thunder. Empty slots are worse than having a low-rarity element equipped.

Alternative: Fire + Wind
Fire is non-negotiable for any DPS build. Thunder is the best second pick if you have crit rate. Wind is a solid alternative.
You need sustained damage output and survivability for long boss fights.
Best Slot: Fire + Life
Alternative: Fire + Earth
Fire provides the damage. Life sustains you through long fights. Earth is an alternative if you prefer flat damage reduction.
You use Katana or other fast-attacking weapons and want attack speed synergy.
Best Slot: Fire + Wind
Alternative: Fire + Thunder
Wind's +15% Attack Speed stacks well with fast weapon types. Thunder is the fallback for higher burst potential.
You have high crit rate gear and want to maximize crit damage scaling.
Best Slot: Thunder + Fire

Thunder moves to priority 1 if your crit rate is high enough. Pair with the Crit Rune for maximum effect.
