Every weapon, skill, race, and accessory ranked from S to D tier — so you know what to chase and what to skip

Cursed Blade is still in Alpha with weekly balance changes, so the meta shifts often. This page ranks everything across four major categories: weapons (25 total), skills (17 total), races (7 total), and accessories (20 total). Each item includes a tier rating, explanation, and context so you can build smarter, not harder.

Recommended Route

Cursed Blade punishes players who pick gear blind. The gap between an optimised build and a random one gets brutally exposed once you hit Plague Village or Silver Valley. This tier list covers all four progression systems — weapons, skills, races, and accessories — ranked S through D based on late-game value, boss performance, and farming efficiency. Because the game updates weekly during Alpha, these rankings reflect the current meta as of June 2026. Bookmark this page and check back after patches.

Weapons Tier List

S Tier — DrgWing, GdnBlade, EndIsBlade, SunBlade

These are the endgame weapons worth farming for. DrgWing leads with 96 Base ATK and 1.3 Attack Speed, making it the strongest boss-killer in the game. GdnBlade matches it in reliability with smooth attack animations and consistent DPS. EndIsBlade delivers massive burst damage through excellent stat spread. SunBlade is the safest pick — fast attack speed (1.35) and excellent scaling keep it relevant everywhere. If any of these drop with good affixes, invest your forge resources immediately.

A Tier — Divinity, Odyss, RuneBlade, EmpBlade, Dark Magic Bow

Strong weapons that carry you through mid-to-late game without issue. Divinity is the best magic weapon — excellent for spell-heavy staff builds. Odyss hits hard with greatsword damage while keeping smooth speed. RuneBlade offers balanced scaling that stays useful through most of progression. EmpBlade delivers raw damage that feels powerful in mid-game grinding. Dark Magic Bow is the best ranged option with strong scaling and a safe playstyle.

B Tier — Leviathan, Sniper, Living Wood, Falcon, DkBlade, Blood Staff

Solid progression weapons that get the job done but get replaced eventually. Leviathan performs well but feels slower than S-tier options. Sniper is a balanced bow with no major weaknesses. Living Wood has surprisingly high Base ATK for a staff. Falcon is a decent bow with smooth gameplay. DkBlade is solid but gets overshadowed by stronger swords. Blood Staff works for early magic builds but lacks late-game scaling.

C Tier — Bone Crush, Mage's Staff, KntBlade, WildBlade, Arcane Bow

Usable early but fall off fast. Bone Crush starts decent but drops off once better weapons unlock. Mage's Staff is serviceable for beginners but lacks damage for tougher fights. KntBlade has balanced stats but nothing stands out. WildBlade helps early on but struggles later. Arcane Bow lacks the DPS needed once stronger ranged weapons appear.

D Tier — Iron Sword, Apprentice Wand, Antler Bow, Jungle Staff, Bone Bow

Starter gear that should be replaced immediately. Iron Sword is purely an early weapon. Apprentice Wand introduces magic combat and falls off quickly. Antler Bow lacks scaling and damage consistency. Jungle Staff is outclassed by weapons unlocked at similar levels. Bone Bow struggles with weak scaling and low damage.

Skills Tier List

S Tier — Rage Slash, Wrath, Step Slash, Tactical Support, Lightning Arrows, Spell Volley, Detonation Magic

These skills define the current meta. Rage Slash is the highest burst damage skill — essential for melee builds. Wrath generates massive Fury in group fights and smooths out combat flow. Step Slash combines mobility with damage better than any other skill. Tactical Support massively outperforms basic bow ultimates with better damage and piercing. Lightning Arrows excel at clearing groups and elite enemies. Spell Volley duplicates skill casts, making it the strongest staff ability. Detonation Magic offers absurd AOE burst that scales beautifully into late-game.

A Tier — Frost Arrows, Frost Storm, Armor

Reliable skills with strong utility. Frost Arrows deal solid damage while slowing enemies — great for safer boss fights. Frost Storm provides dependable AOE pressure with a short cooldown. Armor becomes increasingly valuable in late-game content where survivability matters.

B Tier — Piercing Arrows, Lightning Storm

Usable but outclassed. Piercing Arrows lack the burst damage of better bow skills. Lightning Storm feels like a weaker version of Detonation Magic.

C Tier — Arrow Volley, Cleave, Fireball, Scorch Ray, Excalibur

Underwhelming and best avoided for serious builds. Arrow Volley costs too much for the payoff. Cleave suffers from short range and low damage. Fireball has mediocre damage scaling. Scorch Ray is awkward to aim in hectic fights. Excalibur looks cool but is too slow for modern boss fights.

Races Tier List

S Tier — Dragonkin

Easily the strongest race path. Dragonkin's evolutions (Land Wyrm, Sky Wyrm) provide incredible stat scaling that stays dominant from mid-game through endgame. If you roll Dragonkin, keep it — it is worth building your entire character around.

A Tier — Angels, Demons

Strong alternatives if Dragonkin is not available. Angels offer balanced progression and remain reliable in late-game content. Demons excel at aggressive combat builds with strong offensive scaling.

B Tier — Mechanoids, Beastmen

Solid choices for normal progression but lack the dominance of higher tiers. Mechanoids provide decent utility. Beastmen are dependable for regular grinding.

C Tier — Elves, Dwarves

Usable early on but fall behind once harder content appears. Both have smoother early gameplay but weaker combat scaling compared to top-tier races. Reroll these when you can.

Accessories Tier List

S Tier — Original Sin, Giantslayer, Prodigy, Eagle Eye

Game-changing accessories that define builds. Original Sin converts a huge portion of damage into magic damage — one of the strongest offensive items in the game. Giantslayer grants powerful random enhancement buffs after defeating legendary monsters, making it excellent for raids. Prodigy boosts all major stats at once and fits almost every build. Eagle Eye ignores enemy resistance, making it devastating against bosses and tough enemies.

A Tier — Graceful Mind, Blood Oath, Eternal Heart, Crown, Callus

Strong build-defining accessories. Graceful Mind massively boosts magic damage for glass-cannon builds. Blood Oath rewards aggressive play with sustain and scaling. Eternal Heart flexibly boosts both physical and magic damage. Crown is excellent for skill-focused builds with Skill Level and Luck bonuses. Callus provides sustain by restoring damage taken over time.

B Tier — Guardian, Onslaught, Talisman, Hades Emissary, Resentment

Useful for specific setups. Guardian helps tankier builds survive longer. Onslaught rewards aggressive farming with movement and attack speed boosts. Talisman helps mana-heavy builds. Hades Emissary restores HP after kills for long farming sessions. Resentment works in Rage-focused builds but is niche.

C Tier — Spirit, Scholar, Smuggler, Iron Plate, Cuirass

Early-game utility that falls off. Spirit offers decent magic and skill speed bonuses early on. Scholar helps leveling with Experience and Intelligence bonuses. Smuggler focuses on movement speed but lacks combat impact. Iron Plate has situational Rage utility. Cuirass provides solid armor bonuses early but gets outclassed.

D Tier — Proliferating Plating

A raw HP accessory with no meaningful utility for tougher content. Replace it as soon as you find anything better.

Best Builds by Playstyle

The strongest setups combine the right weapon, race, skills, and accessories around a clear playstyle. Here are the top combinations for each approach.

Best Overall Build (Melee)

Maximises burst damage and late-game boss killing power. Uses DrgWing or GdnBlade with Dragonkin race for the best stat scaling in the game.

Best pick: DrgWing + Dragonkin + Rage Slash / Step Slash / Wrath + Prodigy / Eagle Eye

This is the current meta king. Farm Silver Valley for DrgWing and spend Lanterns chasing Dragonkin.

Best Magic Build

Focuses on spell duplication and AOE burst for fast clearing. Divinity staff with Angel or Demon race for balanced or aggressive magic scaling.

Best pick: Divinity + Angels or Demons + Spell Volley / Detonation Magic / Frost Storm + Original Sin / Graceful Mind

Spell Volley duplication makes this build scale harder than raw numbers suggest. Prioritise getting Original Sin.

Best Bow Build

Safe ranged DPS with strong AOE and sustained damage. Dark Magic Bow is the best ranged option, paired with Angel or Beastmen for balanced stats.

Best pick: Dark Magic Bow + Angels or Beastmen + Tactical Support / Lightning Arrows / Frost Arrows + Eagle Eye / Crown

Bow builds are the safest for learning boss patterns. Tactical Support alone outperforms most bow ultimates.

Best Beginner Build

Designed for players still learning the game. Uses reliable mid-game weapons and defensive skills to survive while building towards endgame gear.

Best pick: DkBlade or Sniper + Beastmen or Mechanoids + Armor / Frost Arrows / Piercing Arrows + Guardian / Talisman

Focus on unlocking the blacksmith and upgrading one weapon consistently. Do not chase S-tier gear until you reach Plague Village.

FAQ

What is the best weapon in Cursed Blade right now?

DrgWing is currently the best weapon with 96 Base ATK and 1.3 Attack Speed. It outperforms everything in boss fights and late-game grinding. GdnBlade and SunBlade are strong alternatives if DrgWing has not dropped for you yet.

Which race should I pick in Cursed Blade?

Dragonkin is the strongest race by a clear margin, thanks to its Land Wyrm and Sky Wyrm evolutions. If you cannot get Dragonkin, Angels and Demons are strong A-tier alternatives. Avoid Elves and Dwarves unless you are early in progression.

What are the best skills for PvE and boss fights?

Rage Slash, Step Slash, Tactical Support, and Detonation Magic are the top PvE skills. They offer high burst damage, mobility, or AOE clear. See the Skills Guide for detailed talent tree breakdowns.

Do skill rolls matter more than weapon name tier?

Yes. A B-tier weapon with great affix rolls can easily outperform a poorly-rolled S-tier weapon. Always check the random affixes before deciding whether to invest forge resources into a drop.

How often does the tier list change?

Cursed Blade is in Alpha with weekly balance patches. The meta can shift anytime. We update this page after each major patch. Bookmark it and check back regularly.

What is the best accessory and why?

Original Sin is widely considered the best accessory because it converts a large portion of your damage into magic damage. Prodigy (all stats boost) and Eagle Eye (resistance ignore) are close alternatives depending on your build.

What build should absolute beginners use?

Start with a bow build using Sniper or Dark Magic Bow, Beastmen or Mechanoids race, and defensive skills like Armor and Frost Arrows. Bow range lets you learn boss patterns safely. See the Beginner Guide for a full walkthrough.
