Cursed Blade has 100+ talents across three attribute trees — Power (Swords), Agile (Bows), and Wisdom (Staffs). Each talent is a passive buff unlocked with Attribute Points earned from leveling and gear. On top of that, weapons drop with random active skills that can dramatically change how a weapon performs. This page covers every talent in the game, the best picks for each weapon type, and the weapon skill tier list so you know what to look for on a drop.

Skills in Cursed Blade come in two distinct flavors that players often lump together but work very differently. Talents are passive buffs — things like 'gain 1 Fury on hit' or 'increase Magic Damage by 30%' — unlocked permanently with Attribute Points from your character progression. Weapon Skills are active abilities that roll randomly on weapon drops — things like Rage Slash (a huge burst ultimate) or Lightning Arrows (crowd-clearing AOE). Both matter, but they serve different roles in your build. A great talent tree paired with bad weapon skills will underperform, and vice versa. This guide covers both systems so you can optimize from the character screen and the loot screen at the same time.
Power talents focus on Physical damage, Fury generation, Stun mechanics, and melee survivability. Best for Sword builds and Strength-scaling characters.

Every time you level up, you earn 3 Attribute Points. These points are spent in the talent menu to unlock permanent passive buffs. You can also earn extra Attribute Points from Titles (achievement-based rewards), certain Gear pieces, Accessories, and some Weapons. The more you explore the game's content, the more points you accumulate over time.
Talents are split into Power, Agile, and Wisdom trees. There are no class restrictions — any character can invest points into any tree. In practice, Power talents scale best with Swords (Physical DMG builds), Agile talents enhance Bows (ranged DPS and mobility), and Wisdom talents empower Staffs (Magic DMG builds). Hybrid builds are possible but usually underperform specialized setups in Abyss and Hell content.
Talents are organized in tiers that cost 5, 10, 20, 30, or 50 points each. Lower-tier talents are accessible early and provide solid early-game power. The 50-pt talents are game-changing passives that define endgame builds. You need to spend points in lower tiers before unlocking higher-tier talents in the same tree.
This is the most common point of confusion. Talents are permanent passive buffs you unlock with Attribute Points. Weapon Skills are active abilities that randomly roll on weapon drops — each weapon has skill slots that determine which active abilities it can use. A weapon's skill rolls often matter more than its base tier. Always check the skills on a weapon drop before selling or salvaging it.
Rage Slash (S-tier) is the best sword ultimate — massive burst damage that melts bosses. Step Slash (S-tier) is the best non-ultimate sword skill, combining mobility with strong damage. Wrath (S-tier) generates huge amounts of Fury in group fights, which feeds your entire Power tree. Armor (A-tier) becomes essential for late-game survivability. Avoid Excalibur (C-tier) — it is too slow to land reliably against fast bosses. Cleave (C-tier) has low range and low damage; skip it.
Tactical Support (S-tier) is the best bow ultimate — a piercing arrow that out-damages Arrow Volley significantly. Lightning Arrows (S-tier) are excellent for clearing groups and elites quickly. Frost Arrows (A-tier) pair solid damage with a slow effect that sets up follow-up AOE or kiting. Arrow Volley (C-tier) consumes all your Focus for mediocre damage — avoid it. Piercing Arrows (B-tier) have low burst damage compared to alternatives.
Detonation Magic (S-tier) is the top staff ultimate and one of the best AOE burst options in the entire game. Spell Volley (S-tier) is arguably the best non-ultimate skill in Cursed Blade — it doubles your casts and effectively gives you a fourth ability slot. Frost Storm (A-tier) provides reliable AOE damage on a short cooldown. Lightning Storm (B-tier) covers similar ground to Detonation Magic but with noticeably weaker DPS. Fireball and Scorch Ray (C-tier) have low damage and are awkward to land on moving targets.
When a weapon drops, the first thing to check is its skill rolls — not just its name or tier. An A-tier weapon with S-tier skills will almost always outperform an S-tier weapon with C-tier skills in real combat. The ideal weapon has: (1) at least one S-tier skill, (2) no C-tier skills, (3) skills that match your build and playstyle. If you find a weapon with two S-tier skills, keep it even if the base tier is lower — it will carry you until you find the perfect roll.
You can reset all your spent Attribute Points using an Attribute Dice. This item costs between 250,000 and 400,000 gold depending on supply. When used, it refunds all your Attribute Points so you can reallocate them into a completely different talent setup. This is useful when switching weapon types (e.g., from Sword to Bow) or trying a new build strategy. Attribute Dice can also drop from Reforge Stone Treasures, with higher-tier Supreme Reforge Stone Treasures having better drop rates.
Not sure which talents to prioritize? Start with your weapon type and build from there.
You are using a Sword and want to maximize melee damage output. Fury management and stun synergy are your top priorities.
Best pick: Vengeance (30pts) + Lightning Body (50pts)
Backup pick: Fire Armor (20pts) + Overwhelming (20pts)
Vengeance gives 5 Fury on taking damage plus 1% Armor per Fury — this is the core survivability and damage engine for melee builds. Lightning Body converts 40% of Physical Damage to Lightning, significantly boosting total damage output. For Fury generation, add Pain Tolerance (gain 3 Fury when hit) and Raging Blood (gain 2 Fury on skill use) early.
You are using a Bow and want ranged DPS with high mobility and critical damage.
Best pick: Coordinated Shot (50pts) + Piece of Cake (20pts)
Backup pick: Omnipotent (50pts) + Snipe (30pts)
Coordinated Shot fires an additional arrow — this is a massive DPS boost for Bow users even with the 30% damage multiplier reduction. Piece of Cake gives +30% Critical Damage at the cost of 25% Defense — acceptable for ranged builds that should avoid taking hits anyway. For Swiftness stacking, prioritize Nimble (Attack Speed + Swiftness on attack) and Unrestrained (+3 max Swiftness).
You are using a Staff and want maximum Magic Damage output with elemental synergy.
Best pick: Sea of Blood (50pts) + Storm Power (20pts)
Backup pick: Arcane Arts (30pts) + Elemental Mastery (20pts)
Sea of Blood gives 40% bonus Magic Damage for 10 seconds after losing 100% cumulative Health — this activates naturally in tough fights and turns you into a damage powerhouse. Storm Power increases damage by 50% after using a skill, which pairs perfectly with Spell Volley and Detonation Magic. For Mana sustain, prioritize Flow (+1 Mana every 3 seconds while moving) and Primal Mana (+10 Mana Cap).
Open the talent menu and spend Attribute Points. You earn 3 Attribute Points per level up. Additional points come from Titles, Gear pieces, Accessories, and some Weapons. Talents cost 5, 10, 20, 30, or 50 points depending on their tier.
Talents are permanent passive buffs you unlock with Attribute Points (like 'gain 1 Fury on hit'). Weapon Skills are active abilities that randomly roll on weapon drops (like Rage Slash or Lightning Arrows). Both are essential — talents define your passive power, weapon skills define your active combat capabilities.
Yes. Use an Attribute Dice (costs 250K-400K gold) to refund all your spent Attribute Points. This lets you completely reallocate your talent build. Attribute Dice can also drop from Reforge Stone Treasures.
Prioritize Vengeance (30pts) for Fury generation and Armor scaling, Lightning Body (50pts) for bonus Lightning damage, and Fury (20pts) for basic Fury generation. Add Pain Tolerance and Raging Blood (30pts each) for sustained Fury in combat.
See the Weapons page for Sword recommendationsCoordinated Shot (50pts) for an extra arrow per attack, Piece of Cake (20pts) for +30% Critical Damage, and Snipe (30pts) for 50% bonus damage at range. Build Swiftness stacks with Nimble (10pts) and Unrestrained (20pts).
Check the Tier List for Bow rankingsSea of Blood (50pts) for 40% bonus Magic Damage, Storm Power (20pts) for 50% damage after skill use, and Arcane Arts (30pts) for scaling damage with Mana Cap. Add Flow (30pts) for Mana sustain and Elemental Mastery (20pts) for elemental status synergy.
Explore all weapons on the Weapons pageFor Sword: Rage Slash (best ultimate) and Step Slash (best non-ultimate). For Bow: Tactical Support (best ultimate) and Lightning Arrows. For Staff: Detonation Magic (best ultimate) and Spell Volley. Spell Volley is arguably the single best skill in the game — it doubles your casts.
There is no hard cap, but your total points are determined by your level (3 per level) plus bonuses from Titles, Gear, Accessories, and Weapons. The 50-pt talents require significant investment, so plan which tree you want to specialize in before spending points across multiple trees.
Yes — there are no class restrictions in Cursed Blade. However, Power talents scale best with Swords (Physical DMG), Agile talents enhance Bows (Agility/DEX scaling), and Wisdom talents empower Staffs (Magic DMG). Mixing trees is possible but focused builds perform better in endgame content.
