Redeem every active code before touching anything else. Codes give Cave Tickets, Crystal Shards, Race Rerolls, and Gold — all materials you need later, for free.
Pick the weapon that fits your playstyle. Light weapons (sword, daggers) are fast and agile; heavy weapons (hammer, greatsword) trade speed for raw damage. You can forge the other type later once you have enough ore.
Your only early goal: clear dungeon waves → collect crystalized ore → visit the forge. Repeat this loop. Do not chase rare races or expensive upgrades before your income loop is stable.
Spend your first gems and shards on ONE weapon. A single strong weapon beats three mediocre ones every time.
Your First 30 Minutes — Step by Step
Minute 0: Redeem codes. Open the menu via the Discord icon in the top-right corner. Enter every active code under the 'Enter Code' tab. This is your highest-ROI action — it costs zero effort and gives you a massive head start.
Minute 1-3: Complete the tutorial and pick your weapon. Light or heavy — there is no wrong answer here. Beginners often prefer light weapons (Iron Sword) for the mobility and faster attack speed. If you prefer tanking hits and dealing big burst damage, go heavy (Hammer).
Minute 3-10: Run your first dungeon clear. Focus on surviving and collecting every piece of crystalized ore enemies drop. Do not worry about speed or efficiency yet — just get a feel for the combat rhythm, dodge timing, and enemy patterns.
Minute 10-15: Visit the forge for the first time. Craft your first weapon upgrade if you have enough ore, or save the ore if you plan to forge a different weapon type. Explore the forge interface — understand where crafting, upgrading, and reinforcement happen.
Minute 15-30: Chain dungeon runs. Now that you understand the loop, focus on clearing faster and collecting more ore per run. Weapon and Race Direction for Beginners
Your first weapon choice matters more than your first race. You can reroll your race later with Race Rerolls from codes, but your starting weapon determines your skill tree path and combat style for the first several hours.
Light weapon path (Sword, Daggers): Best for players who enjoy fast-paced combat, dodging, and combo chains. Your skill tree will favour attack speed, mobility, and multi-hit Ultimates.
Heavy weapon path (Hammer, Greatsword): Best for players who want to deal big damage and soak hits. Your skill tree leans into damage multipliers, defence, and single-hit devastating Ultimates.
Race is important but not urgent. Your starting race is random, and you can reroll it anytime with Race Rerolls from active codes. The general race ranking: S tier (Demon, Angel) > A tier (Fairy, Dragoon, Sorcerer) > B tier (Dragonkin, Undead, Goblin) > C tier (Orc) > D tier (Human). But for your first few hours, any race works fine.
If you get a Demonic or Angelic race roll early, keep it. These are rare and offer the best all-around buffs. If you get Human, reroll when you have spare Race Rerolls.

What to Save and What to Spend Early
Save Cave Tickets for dedicated grinding sessions. A single Cave of Crystals run where you chain multiple clears gives more gems per ticket than short one-off runs. Wait until you have 15-20 minutes to commit.
Spend your first gems on levelling up your primary weapon. Weapon level directly increases your damage output and unlocks skill slots. Prioritise this over everything else at the forge.
Save Crystal Shards and Crystal Flakes for mid-game reinforcement. Early on, the base weapon level matters more than reinforcement stats. Do not burn shards on a weapon you plan to replace.
Spend Gold on daily quest resets if the reward includes Cave Tickets or Crystal Shards. Otherwise, hold Gold for forge crafting costs.
Do not hoard Race Rerolls. Use your first few rerolls to get a decent race (B tier or above). Once you have one, save the rest for later when you understand your build better.
What to Ignore Early On
Rune optimisation. The Cave of Runes is useful, but rune systems are a mid-game depth mechanic. Focus on weapon level and combat skills first.
Attribute min-maxing. STR, AGI, and INT matter more once you have a clear build direction. Early on, put points into whatever gives you the most immediate damage or survivability.
Chasing the perfect race. A B-tier race with a levelled weapon outperforms an S-tier race with a base weapon every time. Weapon upgrades first, race optimisation second.
Multiple weapon types. Stick to one weapon type for your first 10-15 levels. You can experiment once you have a steady ore income from harder dungeons.
Farming rare materials. Early dungeons drop the same crystalized ore you need for your first weapons. Do not skip to higher difficulty dungeons for 'better' drops — you are not ready.
Common Beginner Mistakes
Spreading materials across multiple weapons. Pick one weapon, level it up, and commit. A single strong weapon clears dungeons faster, which means more ore and materials per hour.
Skipping code redemption. Codes give free Cave Tickets, Crystal Shards, and Gold. Skipping them means grinding longer for materials you could have gotten instantly.
Ignoring daily quests. Daily quests are a reliable source of Cave Tickets and upgrade materials. Check them every session.
Spending Cave Tickets on single runs. Cave of Crystals is most efficient when you chain multiple clears in one session. Save tickets until you have time for a full grind session.
Hoarding resources without a plan. Materials sitting in your inventory produce nothing. If you are not sure what to invest in, put resources into your primary weapon level — that is never a wasted investment.
